What we collect

We don’t ask for personal information. The site has no accounts, sign-ups, comment forms, or newsletter. The calculators run in your browser, and the numbers you enter aren’t sent to us or stored.

Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure.

Email. If you write to us through the address on our Contact page, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you.

Analytics

We don’t currently use any analytics or tracking tools. If we add one, we’ll update this page first.

Advertising and cookies

We may show ads served by Google. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

How long we keep information

We keep server logs only as long as our hosting provider holds them for security and operations. We keep emails only as long as we need them to answer you, and then we delete them.

Sharing

We don’t sell or rent personal information. We share information only with service providers who run the site, such as our host and ad partners as described above, or when the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, or to delete it, by writing to us through the Contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law, and we’ll honor those requests.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning home backup power. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
